The Issue with Tissue

What’s your toilet paper situation? Tree-free, bamboo, recycled, paper-free, virgin-pulp?

If you’re looking for a sustainable alternative, the NRDC and Stand.earth have developed a scorecard to inform consumers of which brands lead on sustainability, and which lag behind.

The scorecard looks at factors like the products' percentage of recycled content, whether the bleach used minimizes toxins, and whether, if the tissue is made from virgin forest fiber, it is sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified forests.
