The Nellie’s brand was inspired by – you guessed it – Nellie! That’s right – she was a real person with real values, who believed in honesty and simplicity. It was these beliefs that inspired the company’s founder, James Roberts (and Nellie’s actual son) to build an entire company honoring his late mother.
Their products are biodegradable (keeping the environment as spotless as your clothes), hypoallergenic (free of harmful toxins, phosphates, and synthetic fragrances), made with no fillers, HE machine-certified, and really work.
WHY POWDER? Liquid detergents are made up largely of water. Nellie's doesn't think selling and moving water around the planet is a very good idea. The fact is, more cleaning power can be packed into a smaller space using powder.
WHY METAL PACKAGING? Metal is one of the easiest and most accepted materials on the planet to recycle. This product comes in a 100% recyclable container.
Laundry Soda
Made with only four ingredients, Laundry Soda is a highly concentrated formula that dissolves quickly in cold or hot water. Most importantly, it rinses completely clear, leaving your skin and the environment as spotless as your clothes.
Use: Use one tablespoon of Nellie’s Laundry Soda for each regular sized load. Wash according to instructions on garments. Always test on garments that may bleed or fade.
Ingredients: Sodium Carbonate, Linear Alcohol Ethoxylate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Metasilicate.
Oxygen Brightener
Nellie’s Oxygen Brightener uses the power of oxygen to penetrate stains and strip away dirt, odor, and grime. As a safe alternative to bleach, it keeps your colors bright and your whites white. Above all, the formula is chlorine-free, color-safe, septic-safe, hypoallergenic, and eco-friendly.
Use:
DO NOT USE: on wool, silk or leather. Not for use on jewelry, latex, paints or wood.
Ingredients: Sodium Carbonate, Sodium Percarbonate, Sodium Sulfate, Primary Linear Alcohol Ethoxylate.
Dishwasher Powder
Nellie’s Dish Powder easily penetrates grease, food particles & more, leaving every plate spotless.
Use: Use the hottest water available (60°C-70°C/140°F-150°F). Fill detergent cups as recommended by machine manufacturer (I use 1 scoop for a regular load). If the machine has no cup dispenser, place 1 tablespoon in the bottom of the dishwasher for an average load of dishes. More powder may be required in hard water areas; soft water may require less.
